Andrés Crane, PhD
Sr. Scientist
Dr. Crane joined Luminary Therapeutics in February 2025 after earning his PhD in Neuroscience from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). During his doctoral studies in Dr. Troy Littleton’s lab, he combined live imaging of synaptic fusion events, single-cell electrophysiology, confocal microscopy, and single-cell RNA sequencing to investigate how genomic expression profiles contribute to the diversity of synaptic properties in glutamatergic neurons. Prior to his PhD, Dr. Crane researched the immune system’s role in clearing amyloid beta in Alzheimer’s Disease under the guidance of Dr. Joseph Rogers at SRI International.
